Job Summary
I worked as a Tax Senior reviewing tax returns. A large part of my day to day work was spent reviewing tax returns for Hedge Funds, Commodity Pools, and Broker Dealers. I also reviewed and prepared the General Partner's tax returns, the General Partner's management company tax returns, and the Fund Manager's personal and trust tax returns.

- Helped create and maintain tax return publishing process to ensure that our firm met the tax return prepare mandates for tax return encryption from the US Treasury.
- Created control sheets to organize information needed for tracking wash sales and state reporting.

Specific Job Tasks Include:
- Reviewed tax returns.
- Advised staff members regarding outbound/inbound international tax matters.
- Determined the allocation of fund capital and profit based on the Limited Partnership Agreement to ensure correct K-1s were issued to Fund Members.
- Advised fund managers regarding investor vs. trader status, how to report their portion of fund income in the most tax efficient manner, and how to structure their personal tax affairs.
